Arenal Volcano & Baldi Hot Springs

In order to get to this wonder from nature we must go to the north of the country, and inevitably we must make a stop in the famous town of Sarchi, of international fame, it has earned the name Birthplace of Costa Rica’s Artisans. As we continue our trip we will go thru diverse plantations with agricultural products, ornamental plants and cattle ranches until we arrive at La Fortuna, for lunch in a cozy restaurant right in front of the volcano. This excellent location will allow us the best view in order to catch any volcanic activity.Before entering the beautiful gardens where the thermal springs are located we will visit Arenal Lake. Here we can easily walk on a road next to the Park where we will look for toucans, monkeys, coatimundis and other animals. Due to security reasons we will not enter the park.
Later we will relax in one of the best thermal water places in the area where you will be able to enjoy an optional massage or other treatment that you will have reserved ahead of time.Last, a wonderful dinner will be served with a great view of the volcano so you will not miss any opportunities of to look out for the incandescent light explosions.
After dinner we will begin our return trip to the city of San Jose.We recommend: swim suit, mosquito repellent, sweater and towel.
4 in 1 The best of Costa Rica.

Length: 11 hoursTo begin this recommended tour, which should really be called Ten in One, we take the Pan-American road to Alajuela, where we go by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the Mango Park.
A few later we stop for the first time in a coffee plantation. We take the Typical breakfast, visit the beautiful coffee plantation, the mill, and the roast room.
As we continue to climb to Poas Volcano we go by coffee plantations, flower and fern nurseries and strawberry fields.
There is a noticeable change in temperature and vegetation, preparing us for the pleasure of the exuberant cloud forest in Poas volcano, where we will have time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles.We continue our trip on the Caribbean slope, stopping to discover La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a natural park where we will walk in spectacular trails that take us to White Magic Waterfall, the most spectacular one in the area. Inside the park we will also visit the largest butterfly observatory in the country home to a collection of tropical jewels and the impressive hummingbird gallery. A buffet style lunch is included here.
After lunch we will continue on the Atlantic slope and once we arrive at Puerto Viejo we will be ready for a relaxing boat trip down the Sarapiqui River. Just sit down and enjoy the surrounds. During our boat ride our guide will unfold for us the simple life of the people who live along the riverbank.
Before returning to San Jose we will drive thru unforgettable Braulio Carrillo National Park, one of the most important tropical rain forest reserves in Costa Rica.

The Best of the Pacific

Length: 10 hoursWe depart San Jose towards the Pacific coast via the Old Spanish Road of 1606, briefly stopping along the way for breakfast.
Once we arrive to our first destination, we will ride a boat along the Tarcoles River. Our guides will take us into a world of crocodiles, water and migratory birds.After our boat ride we will visit one of the most beautiful protected areas, Punta Leona Resort, an exotic paradise surrounded by 750 hectares of transitional tropical wet forest to tropical dry forest, which is characteristic of this region. The beauty of its white sands and deep blue ocean are particular to the Pacific.
You will have all day free to enjoy this beautiful place and to enjoy the optional activities such as water sports, bathing in the crystal waters of the ocean or using the hotel pools. The tour includes a delicious lunch served in one of the local restaurants.In the afternoon you may wish to enjoy an optional guided walk thru the jungle. Taking only one and a half hours it is a good opportunity to observe wild life such as reptiles, amphibians and scorpions.

Our last stop is Sarchi, known as the Cradle of Costa Rican Artisans because of its fine workshops. Here we will have time to enjoy the artistic work of the local artisans as they create the famous typical oxcart and you will be able to shop for that special souvenir to take home.

Length: 9 hoursVisit to Cascades and natural waters swimming pool: Upon leaving San José, during the 1 hour and 15 minute trip we will cross the Braulio Carrillo National Park, where you will discover the exuberant vegetation typical of this National Park.
Once you reach Hotel Sueño Azul you will enjoy a dish of natural fruits, accompanied of coffee or tea or a natural drink.
We will then go the “Malatoba” brook, born in the heart of the Braulio Carrillo National Park, in a 45-minute ride on horseback, we will then board the 13-platform canopy in order to come to the refreshing cascades product of the water stroke on the rocks with the passing of time, where you can bathe and enjoy natural massages with the strokes of the cascades. There is also a large 800 m2 swimming pool with a 40 m long water chute; where the water is refreshingly natural, since it is taken from the river to where it returns. The maximum depth is of 1.5 m, thus being safe for the entire family.
You can also visit here a Butterfly Farm, which has a magnificent live collection of the different stages of a butterfly in its natural state, besides a Zompopa Ant Settlement, where a platform will help you discover this gigantic colony of Leaf-Cutting Ants, so you may admire them as they carry out their arduous work.
We will return to the Hotel on horseback, by cart, or by automotive vehicle, where you will enjoy a buffet-type lunch.

We depart the city towards the mountains that surround the Central Valley, with scenery of spectacular vegetation and extensive coffee plantations, ornamental plants and picturesque typical towns of Costa Rica. This is an experience that is enjoyed only once, as we slide from one platform to the next flying thru the canopy. Canopy San Lorenzo is located in the middle of a tropical forest reserve in a beautiful area full of orchids, bromeliads and other ornamental plants.The sliding cable is divided into two parts:
-The forest section, which starts with small cables so the passenger will acquire confidence while admiring the forest’s canopy and
- The adventure section, with much longer cables suspended from high platforms that require large doses of adrenaline.
The total length of the cable is 2500 meters or 8.202,10 ft. There are 19 platforms and the San Lorenzo Canopy offers a 750-meter or 2.460,63 feet cable, the longest one in the country.From one platform to the next the guide will explain the most important features of the forest. Canopy Tour La Carpintera “A Combine Adventure”

Length: 5 hoursThis excellent combination offers: Hiking on our trails, and the challenging adventure of the zip lines.
Come with us and experiment one of the ways of watching and enjoy in a very safe way the wet forest of the Cerros De La Carpintera.The tour starts with a beautiful hiking for about 15 minutes inside the wet forest during the journal an explanation about the forest and its life. When we reach the Canopy School we are ready to reach the first platform where will begin the adventure of the zip lines, 1800 meters of cable divide into 10 different lengths, with high quality equipment which is renovated frequently to ensure its proper standard. Between platforms and hiking on our trails of 200 meters and 300 meters each, you will enjoy one rappel. The experience will end with a great Costa Rican lunch in our Hacienda Chirraca Restaurant where will share with the fellows the experiences just lived.
